Looks awesome to me!
I'd agree with sama, we'll probably need a couple variations to indicate status. One in red initially would be good.
Though, when we're using this with a FE, you won't really see it anyhow. I just figured it'd be there to allow changing some settings etc. :-)

Awesome!
They've got my vote!
Things are progressing on the app. I'm in the process of building an object model that should be pretty easy to serialize to/from XML, and hopefully easy to understand.
I should have some time this weekend to bang away at it. You can always browse the SourceForge CVS and see when I last updated the code.
Keep in mind that the CVS stuff is VERY unstable, and very much so in development. I'm updating what I do every time I work on the project, since I work on it both at work, and at home, so the CVS is my central repository for changes.

Sounds good, I'll get those icons packaged up later tonight and post-em. The SpaceNavigatorHIDTestJig version I'm using is from Jan 26, 2007 2:10pm... seems pretty cool so far... I'll check out the latest this weekend... Hey in RR skins, do you have the ability to [ tab ] or [ shift ] + [ tab ] to the buttons? I was thinking that would make it pretty easy for navigating using something like the iDrive skin using the LR rotational axis of the space nav. Just a thought...

Those were made in PhotoshopCS2 using vector masks, I tried to use Illustrator but apparently updating to 10.4.8 breaks Illustrator (thanks apple.) I'm installing the demo on a parallels XP install this afternoon...

SpaceNav Icons (Revision 3)
Okie Dokie, so I got the Illustrator issue sorted out and did a bit of research on creating icons(never created them before this project) They're a little more polished now and should be about what you're looking for... If we need more colours/sizes let me know and I'll pump-em out... Now that I have the formula down it's a piece of cake Also, as a note, I removed the "SN" from the 16x16 versions as it was not legible and just junked up the clean look... There's also a 24x24 icon in the .ico files not shown below...
48x48

32x32

16x16

SpaceNav3 Blue Icon
SpaceNav3 Red Icon
Hope you like 'em!
EDIT:
ICO files also contain 128x128, 96x96 and 72x72 versions...
128x128

As I am not familiar with programming in C++ I'm not sure how icons are referenced, Attached is an .icl of the two .ico files if it would be easier... Let me know if we need anything else or some other format

Just ordered the SN PE - it is exactly what I want.
I'd like to be able to control RR using SN in the manner of an iDrive controller, and it looks like we're getting there.
I have rather rusty C++ skills (I still prefer good ol' C) along with PERL and VB. Keen to help with this, as it looks superb. A standalone really appeals, rather than relying on GIRDER or PIE.
How do we take this forward? How can i help?

The main focus for the app is to control RR right now. It'll hopefully be pretty flexible though.
You're welcome to take a look at the code in the CVS of the project (see my signature). Though, the code is still quite rough, I'm hoping to have it more polished and understandable after this weekend.
