Greetings everyone,

Been gone for a year and some and decided to take another stab at my car pc project. Hopefully this question has been placed in the right place instead of the newbie forum.

My question is this :

One of my goals is to have most of the functions controlled by hot keys. for example if I wanted to open the music section I could press f4 or another key. What Front ends have this function ? I do know that frodo player allows this however I have not been able to find out if any of the others do through searching.

The next release of Mobile Impact will have the following hot key functions:

Pause/Play = enter
Fast Forward = plus key
Rewind = minus key
Mute/Unmute = * key
Next Track = right arrow/6 key
Previous Track = left arrow/4 key
Vol Up = + key
Vol Down = - key
Navigate filelist = up and down arrows
Go up one directory level = left arrow
Open folder = right arrow

Switch to Main Menu = 0 key
Switch to Media Player = 1 key
Switch to GPS = 2 key
Switch to XM = 3 key
Switch to DVD/CD = 5 key
Switch to Games = 7 key
Switch to Apps = 8 key
Switch to Web browser = 9 key

RoadRunner has as many as you want to define. It reads from a keytbl.ini file where you define any and all hotkeys for the front-end. I believe I currently have 38 set for my system.
