Can not delete music from flash drive

What version of StreetDeck is this bug report for?

1.0.8.1

Please give a basic description of the issue here.

Can not delete music from flash drive

Is the systemt that is listed in your CarPC specs under your user name the same system where you encountered this bug?

yes

If no, please describe your system here.

Please provide any relevent information regarding the issue you have encountered.

Sorry for posting more than once, but no one responded to my earlier post about this issue so I thought I would just post it as a bug report and see if I get any answers.

When playing music from my flash drive, deleting music removes it from the playlist but not from the flash. When I replay the folder from the flash drive, the music file reappears. I have set the option to remove files from the drive when delete music is selected.

THis is due to the fact the delete function fails to remove the item in the music collection since its not in teh collection and just a file on the flash drive.

It should be fixed in 1.0.8.5

The delete feature seems to work on the flash drive now. However I noticed that if I go back in the menu to list the files in the last folder I was in, I still see the file I deleted, even though I can't play it. I would have to go back to the parent folder and reselect the folder containing the files I was playing before the list is accurate (not showing the deleted files).

knyarko - this does seem to be a bug.

I will pass this along to the QA and development team.

This is by design. File enumeration can take a significant amount of time particularly on removable media if there are alot of files on the drive and is only done when entering the module not going back to it. At this point it is a known limitation, but may be improved in future versions.

Good to know Chuck.

I'm closing this bug report then since the initial bug has been resolved.
