S4Per - would you mind updating your original post to include 1.0.9.8 in the version field? Part of the title for the post is pulled from that field.
It will help us determine which bugs are for which versions and lets us know that you have retested with the latest version.
Thanks for your continued reporting, it's been invaluable!

Crossfading does not work. - 1.0.8.1 - 1.1.0.0
What version of StreetDeck is this bug report for?
1.0.8.1 - 1.1.0.0
Please give a basic description of the issue here.
Crossfading does not work.
Is the system that is listed in your CarPC specs under your user name the same system where you encountered this bug?
Yes
If no, please describe your system here. Are you able to reproduce this bug at will?
Yes
Please list the steps required to recreate the issue you are reporting. Crossfading is enabled in the Music Settings. Songs simply do not crossfade. It is certainly not an issue with dead air at the end or beginning of tracks as I have experienced this with hundreds of songs. Please provide any relevent information regarding the issue you have encountered.
The notes for the 1.0.5.8 updated stated that Crossfading support was there. I do not recall what version I was running prior to 1.0.8.1, but crossfading did not work in that previous version either. I do have 1.0.9.8 installed on my development system but have not been able to determine if crossfading is working in that version. My media volume reverts to zero and will not allow me to change it. I suspect this may be a "security" feature to prevent people from using the development environment as a media player. If that's not that case, then please advise what I can do to recreate the non-crossfading issue in my development environment. I have refrained from updating my 1.0.8.1. carpc to 1.0.9.8 due to the issue with StreetDeck not staying in night mode, so at this point I cannot determine if crossfading is working in 1.0.9.8.
This issue was discussed in this thread: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/stre...ss-fading.html but there was no apparent resolution to that thread, so I am reporting it in the bug subform as well.

I have tested this and got the same issue on all testing units. I will report this to our engineers and see if there is a simple fix.

I have sent adam an email about this issue.
However, I will say that this is going to be a lower priority item for chuck right now.
