I just figured out how to open and edit the registration.zip file. However I do not have any idea how to change this, to make it work. I wouldn't even know where to start.

Ok, I found and changed the file locations to the mappoint folder. and I also looked to see if I had the file in the maps folder and it was there too. I ran SD and it still is doing the same thing. I try rebooting my comp but no change, so I ran you APP again and here is what it says now...

OK, I have tried every conceivable install order and found one method that kinda works. I first un-installed SD, Mappoint, and deleted all registry entries I could find under Mappoint and Streetdeck. I then ran the setup.exe from the SD install files on my hard drive. Then I went online and downloaded the 1.1.0.0 update, and installed it. I then ran the registry.zip. With this, I can now run the mappoint test app without it crashing, and it now works. I can see the map in the corner and I have no warning messages. When I open SD the navigation button is there! But when I click on it, it say initializing navigation for about 2 minutes, then closes SD, and pops up two error messages saying that SD needed to close and I should call your support phone number during business hours. So I ran a search for the SD APP log, but I can't find any new log files to see what the problem is. Please let me know what I should do next.

found the latest log file...

Hey, I found the log file and attached it. Also, I opened mappoint manually and checked the com addins and found the streetdeck addin was unchecked, I checked the box and closed the window. but when I reopened it, it was unchecked again, and it has no load behavior. The reason I bring this up is, In a previous install the box was checked and it had a load behavior something like "load at startup". I hope this helps.

What happens when you run
regsvr32.exe "C:\Program Files\StreetDeck\MappointAddin.dll"

Also try downloading depends (http://www.dependencywalker.com/) and running it on MappointAddin.dll and post if you are missing any dependancies.

I ran dependencywalker and here is what it says...

Warning: At least one module has an unresolved import due to a missing export function in a delay-load dependent module.

these files were highlighted...

SHLWAPI.DLL
IEFRAME.DLL

I tried attach the file but I guess it is not an approved file extension, because it would not upload ".dwi"

Our engineer should have a solution for this issue soon. I have overnighted him a PC with the issue on it. I will keep you updated on his progress.

To all of you who have purchased the European version of StreetDeck and have recieved your DVDs, please check your emails. You should have recieved an email from a representative of the company. Please post back here once you have followed through with the email.

If you purchased the DVD but have not recieved an email, please let me know.
