I have reported the issue of the album art in the private beta testers bug reporting forum.
Apparently the fix for this is incredibly difficult. Due to the nature of this bug, the priority is lower.
Regarding the rest of the bug report, I'm not sure I follow.
Are you stating that when you're in the 'Now Playing' screen, StreetDeck skips ahead one track compred to what it would do if you were in the queued music screen?
Also, please post your log file when this bug occurs. Any time you post a bug report we need a log file along with it

No, I was only talking about the album art z-ordering issue. There is no skipping of tracks.
I did not include a log because it is a trivial repro and is purely cosmetic. So logs would probably not help in this case. If you don't see the z-ordering issue, I can collect a log.

so just so I understand this.
You're saying the the album art that shows is for the next song in the queue while the song title is for the current song in the queue?
If you open this same media up in Windows Media Player, do you notice the same behavior?
Thanks for the feedback.

@RedGTiVR6: I have noticed the bug you speak of, it's very anoying, as it causes issues with the play button in overlays
I copied the CMusic Overlay and ExtOverlay to the CiPod ones. Exact copies, and I have to remove the Invisible layer from the main Overlay just so I could get the play button to work. Also the ExtOverlay doesn't replace the normal one, with causes all sorts of click threw issues. I thought that Ext was suppose to close the original first, that is why it doesn't just extend it, I know this is the behavior for Music anyhow. Not sure if they are related at all, but thought I'd mention it.

Not sure what you mean but hopefully the pictures are worth a thousand words:

ok - this is the same issue I've reported internally. the fix for this is incredibly involved and will take a while. Because of the nature of this bug, it's lower on the list to fix.
