StreetDeck requires a number of required and optional dependancies in order to work properly. When purchasing a complete StreetDeck system, all these dependancies are already installed with the system. You will only need to download and install these if installing StreetDeck on a non-preconfigured system.

NOTE: The bold items in the list below are required, all others are optional, but may limit the functionality of StreetDeck if not installed

• Microsoft Windows XP SP2 or Windows VISTA
• Microsoft DirectX 9 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en)
• Microsoft Windows Media Player 11 (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...&qstechnology=)
• Ffdshow DivX codecs (http://www.streetdeck.com/update/ffdshow.exe)*
• Fraunhoffer DVD codec (http://www.streetdeck.com/update/dvd.exe)
• Navigation Data (Supports Microsoft Mappoint 2004 or 2006)
• Microsoft Speech SDK (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en)
• Itunes for ipod integration
• Yahoo music for internet radio

It should also be noted that if your machine already has Map Point or Streets and Trips installed, it will cause problems when installing the full version of StreetDeck.

Both of these programs should be completely removed from your machine before installing the full version of StreetDeck from the DVD.

*Also, aside from Ffdshow you may need to install other codecs depending on the file types you are attempting to view.

Just to clarify things, it would then be safe to install (or re-install) them (e.g. Mappoint) AFTER the full version of StreetDeck is installed, right?
