Uninstall a StreetDeck update

As of version 1.0.5.1 and later, StreetDeck now backs up all overwritten files when installing an update.

If after updating to a new version of StreetDeck, you want to revert back to a previous version, you can do so by going to Start | Run and enter
"C:\Program files\StreetDeck\SDUpdate.exe" -Restore
Name: Run.JPG
Views: 528
Size: 12.6 KB

After running the program, a list of available backup versions will be shown, select one and choose OK. The version will be restored.
Name: Restore.jpg
Views: 518
Size: 11.9 KB

If you wish to undo the restore, just reinstall the update again.

GOC...I having problems running 1.0.5.2, so naturally, this -Restore option looked like a good way to revert to something that would run.

When I run with -Restore (I am opening a command window in c:\program files\streetdeck and then running StreetDeck), I get the message screen indicating that I have used an invalid switch.

[[[[[ I just noticed that it is SDUpdate that has the switch so disregard the above!! ]]]

I have double checked that I have in fact 1.0.5.2 by running online update and it indicates that I have installed the latest version.

BTW...when SD detects an invalid command line parameter and prints the list, it would be great to have that screen print out the version of SD. It's not easy to know what version of SD one is running unless you run the developer mode or ??. When I first downloaded SD as a trial, it was not clear what version I was downloading other than to assume that it was the latest version.

Thanks

Just right click on the exe and goto properties and it will tell you the version.

For those that visit this thread in the future, I would like to add that this only works within major version numbers. I think I might be having some trouble with 1.1.0.0 and it would not allow me to go back to 1.0.x.x. Something to keep in mind...
