You can change your hardware and it won't reset. You can even format and reinstall windows and it will still work. The only thing the code is tied to is your harddrive. If you pull the harddrive out that the code is tied to, you will need a new one. Other then that you can change everything else. You can even add and remove hard drives as long as you keep the one you registered on in the system. You can even add your hard drive to a different system and your code will then work for that system.
The system was designed with upgrades in mind, even those who upgrade on a monthly basis shouldn't have much of a problem unless they throw out thier hard drive every month.
I also don't believe this applies to solid state drives. I replaced my 2.5 notebook drives in Raid 0 with a single Mtron 2.5" solid state drive. After receiving a new registration code for the solid state drive I had and issue enabling AHCI, deleted the partitions using debug. After installing StreetDeck again my Hardware and check codes are no longer the same.
StreetDeck was updated so that if StreetDeck can not get get a serial number from your hard drive, it will try other means to generate a unique code based on your hardware. If this happens, it will be more sensitive to hardware changes and can change with some hardware upgrades.

Just to get this right
If you changed your harddrive 3 times, for various reasons, you have to call Streetdeck?
I suppose they are located in USA. I live in Norway. That would cost me close to an arm and a leg. But phone charge here is expensive.
Any chance of doing this online because of the costs?
