Beginning of a skin
Ok, so I figured I'd throw out a new concept skin. Obviously this one has a LONG way to go and is only in the design phase (started 2 days ago), but this area appears to be in need of a fresh skin, so here is what I am thinking:
Center will be used for date/time, buttons on left and right will likely include home and a "config" button that will bring up more options (like a popup)
Slide out media bar:
Comments and ideas are welcome... get them in now before it is too late

I like the start. Clean and nice colors. Let me put my thinking cap on, and when I get to work tom. I will hopefully have some ideas.

True... hmm... It'll look great if you can afford a $600 transflective monitor (not I)... After testing it in the car, I will take a look and if it is really bad, I will make a darker version.
or.... everyone could chip in and get me that monitor
Christmas is only 4 days away... hint hint

You'd be better of to leave the skn light and the font/writing black or dark for daytime visability.
You may want to make a dark skn for nighttime use though.
A white/light skin is pretty abusive in a dark cabin...............

I am hoping that the night mode will drop the colors enough, but I will reevaluate that upon launch... This skin may not be the direction I want to go though the more I think about it... The lines that define the sides, etc, will be washed out in the daytime.
Damn.. Well I am going to have to think about this one!

Upon further evaluation, this skin will be scrapped. I will post a new thread when I have a new design concept in place.

I'm liking it! Can't wait to see the finished product. I am going to purchase SD over the next couple days. If I can figure out the skining I will probably be doing one of my own scion skins. I'll keep ya posted.

Oh wait-a-minute, you don't have one.
Guess I'll just have to take my bat, ball and glove and go home.
