One more update
Ok, as promised, a small update. E46, E92, and VW. Available here.
Below is a poor picture of the VW skin, note the module switcher is still there, the label just does not have any text, just press in the middle of the logo.
p.s. The Calendar digimod was updated a little as well, in case you are using it

Hey Marchello: Skin is very cool. I'm just curious if I am able to change which default buttons appear on the main screen such as changing "radio" to "video" or is that an architecture change?

Sure, all buttons are shortcuts, so all you need to do is press the "More..." button and configure it however you like

Minor bug report:
When I select the "E92" on the home screen to bring up the module switcher, music from the queue will start playing- even if it was stopped. If the queue is empty, it will bring back the last queue. Also... sometimes when the module switcher screen comes up, all modules will show as music.. until I flip through them, then the proper icons are displayed.

I have yet to delve into creating or modifying a skin despite using SD for over a year, but I have it on my summer to do list. As I've been browsing through some posts I have more questions than answers, but here's one short question for anyone that would like to lend a hand.
Is it possible to use marchello's great customized skin and just change out the background on the home page (sorry if that isn't the proper terms)? I have a Saturn and thought a nice way of getting to learn skins would be to take one and tweak it. I don't own a BMW but love the sublet and significant modifications here.

Just replace BACKGROUND.DEFAULT.PNG in the skin directory with a 1024x768 PNG file of your choosing and it should work.
