Is the G4 GPS with SD lock a bug that's being tracked?

Hi,
Sorry meant to say Lockup not lock.
Over on the G4 forum, several people have reported consistent locksups with using the G4's GPS function.
This is keeping me from getting the G4 and I'm wondering if this is a bug that's been ID'd? Is it likely to be fixed soon?

We have not been able to duplicate this problem. Several fixes have been made for it, but we never found what combination of things caused this to happen in the first place and haven't had any recent reports of it.

I haven't had it happen in my car for about 2 weeks.

My G4 hung in navigation twice today.

were you able to remember exactly what was going on prior to it happening? Did any one thing cause it to happen?

It's very hard for the developers to fix a problem that they simply can't recreate.

Anything you can think of that seemed out of place?

The first time it hung after I accidentally hit the "virtual earth" button. The second time it hung while "initializing", which seems to happen every few days.

tby, after you try the new version post back if you still get lockups, I'm in a similar situation as reapur... wanna know the thing works right before buying it.
