Exclamation Indexing in SD does it work for anyone???

Ok I dont know if its me or what but I cant get indexing to work to safe my life within SD. If I add music into my My Music folder, I start SD go to options > music reindex my music and when it completes its all messed up, missing albums, missing songs, duplicate songs you name it. Ok lets try another way, I restart SD go to options > music and i click clear my music index and then click reindex and same result it completes successfully but again mussing albums, missing songs, duplicate songs.

The only way I can get my indexing to work is closing SD, open Windows Media Player go to library, select all, remove and click the reload libary link. When I open SD all is good.

I don't mind doing my updates like this but its very time consuming when you only want to add 1 or 2 albums.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there an update function in WMP where it just looks for newly added albums/songs? Today it took me close to 20 minutes just to get SD to recognize 2 new albums and the process I had to use (stated above) is pretty annoying.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

No one at all? It has gotten to a point where I can no longer even use SD's indexing, it's not even worth just adding 1 album I have to wait to add a bunch so its worth the time spent deleting and readding the whole library through wmp.

StreetDeck will index all files in your music path based on whether the audio type is set for the MIME type in the windows registry. This is documented in the StreetDeck.

StreetDeck will also log whenever it can't index a file found. StreetDeck will only try to index files in the import path on startup for automatic indexing and will only try to index files in the Music path when the index option is chosen.

i've never had SD indexing work successfully for me. I had (have?) a bug open on that..I'll go back and check.

Whenever I add new music, I have WMP open and it does it in the background. Once it shows up in there (pretty quick) I can see it in SD.

Would love to have SD to be able to do it, though.

EDIT: Looks like I failed to report back that it was still an issue before. I've reopened the thread here: Indexing crashes SD

Chuck thanks for the reply. My issue is SD is deciding what to list. I can run a full index and notice random albums missing and make note of them. I can reindex and they will show up but others will be missing. If I do this through WMP it lists fine in SD.
