Thanks for the update and its a bit wrong to say have a crappy weekend !
Right guys who know whats going on , maybe a buy out of sd with mcrosoft or intel or who ever , i am sure mp3car or goc would say something more if they could but they MUST be under a NDA and if they are then they cant say anything , not even hints , esp. if the NDA is with a big company , that can land you in court or jail!
we will just have to work away with SD as it is at the moment and content our selves that SD is not finished it is moving to bigger better things , as stated before would you rather have 1 person working on 20 problems or 20 people working on one?
With all the media coverage Sd is getting with intel etc then sd is not dead its morphing into something , i just hope that we mp3car early adopters will be remembered and get heavily discounted options for the upgrade to Microsoft SD or INTEL SD or SD powered by Microsoft lol
Fiber just needs alittle lesson in customer relations lol

I am sorry but that may have been the weakest post I have ever read. Listen, you guys have left us in the dark, we aren't random strangers here we our your paying customers. The very least you could do is give us an update, I understand if you can't release certain information as of yet but how about a quick summary or something.....anything? You guys are horrible in the customer service department, the only reason that most of us paid for your software rather then going with RR or other free frontends.

FO & GOC, ndas have nothing to do with answering a simple question, or whatever the hell it is that is happening. The one question that all of us here would like answered:
Are we screwed or are we going to very happy?
An answer to that would at least point us in a direction rather than to waste our time.

how about we get some of the smart people together and work out the problems? it'll be like a community helpdesk, we'll just backwards engineer it and then we'll work out the kinks ourselves lol

Sorry to do that to you guys FO/GOC, but I think it is important to everyone that they know you haven't abandoned the group. And the fact that you are even here watching, tells me (and some others) that you would speak if you could.
It even looks like I got Mrcgibb to travel over to the dark side. lol
NDA's are very tricky. Yes, if you have no idea what is going on, you can speculate until you're blue in the face. Even if you are 100% correct, there is no recourse. However, if you are part of the NDA, and say ANYTHING, even just the status of the product, you could not only lose the agreement, you could lose your job, your company, your PROJECT, everything. And the bigger the other side is, the bigger the loss.
I'm pretty sure I am right about these guys. They wouldn't be watching us if they were just going to take the money and run. This one I may be wrong about (money changes people), but I also don't think they would have gotten into this situation if they were going to be forced to screw the people that got them here (us). I would, but I don't think they would. lol

Yes... I know how our NDA's our... I work for Microsoft, an AutoPC newbie and have been lurking on this forum for about a year. No, I have NOTHING to do nor have any inside info on any acquisitions! (I'll get that out of the way now... LOL)
I bought a 2007 WRX just for the fact of SD and the Subaru skin. The reason I haven't pulled the trigger on the rig yet are five requirements:
1. Runs on our platform (Windows)
2. That gorgeous Subaru skin or something similar
3. GPS integration (Streets 2008 would be nice.) :-)
4. Bluetooth phone integration
5. Email support (Outlook 2007 would be preferred)
I've been carefully watching this and the CF thread. Although CF meets a few of the requirements above, I just don't get the "wow or sexy" factor from it. So, I just hang out and wait with ya'all! Until then... I guess I can wait a few more weeks or so. Hell, I haven't pulled the trigger for a year now... what's a few more days or weeks? :-)

I'm kind of coming in on the late side of this post ... I really don't want to sit here and read all 25 pages ... what's the overall summary of this thread, and what's happening to SD?
