Oh! The gestures that are, surprisingly enough, identical to Streetdeck? I mean come on, to use the exact same moves, could you be any more obvious?! lol.....thanks, I needed the entertainment (thats 5 minutes I'll never get back)
Since when does Streetdeck use the backslash gesture to go to the Home screen, as was shown for CF in that video?
And isn't it GOOD that CF uses at least some or most of the same gestures as SD to make it easier for those who desire to switch between CF/SD?
And for the record, I've never used CF, and I'm no SD fanboy since the *huge* list of apparently ignored bugs makes me wish I had bought an $1100 head unit instead of the $2000 G4.

To quote the thread title "This is ridiculous". It's been two weeks now, with no support or communication of any kind by Streetdeck. Except we will be communicating soon. Maybe we'll here something by the time the bluetooth dongle is released. Ispired by the above posters comments, maybe it's time for a mass bug reporting. I know of at least two I have off the top of my head. I'm sure many of you out there have your own. At the very least people looking to buy this software might be detered, and maybe some would be investors?? What do you say? Who's coming with me? It's a shame because I really like the software, but again this is getting ridiculous. I'll post mine tomorrow when I download my logs.

"This IS ridiculous"!!! All we are trying to do is get support! Who the F***K do they think they are?! SD is not even a stock corporation, its a mere tricked out skin for WMP and they have NDA? haha cmon. Guys be smart, when a giant like Mic.Soft or Google or Intel buy a company its because 1 of 2 reasons: 1) the company has a patent or know-how in the area OR 2) if a company is easier to acquire than to compete with. SD is neither and Microsoft guru's could probably copy it within a week! Even if im wrong and they are under NDA, were not asking to reveal their HUGE plans, just work out your bugs first! I have a very warm and fuzzy feeling about you being here and caring but that doesn't make my VOLUME work or play DVD's in vista! All im asking for is someone to post something like "were on it, it will be in the next update in two weeks" that will make me shut up!

Obviously the StreetDeck folks, and Chuck in particular, are waiting on something themselves. If they could disclose something, they would have already.
I remember this product back in the day, before it was called StreetDeck. These guys have my best wishes for success. StreetDeck is *still* the product to beat. I hope that the future holds continued success with a broader infrastructure for support and more resources for continued innovation and development. That's good news for all of us.
Pop in here and let us know how that G35 of yours is doing Chuck. Just went built block and twin turbo myself. When you get a chance, check out the DashDaq - cool new product, soon to be available as an add-on for the Haltech, if you ever decide to upgrade your EMS.
Take care,
Raj

How much longer until we see the "We wan t a refund" post? The fact that they wont give us any additional information worries me.

If a deal is in the works and they can't talk about I understand. But the total lack of support is what blows my mind. It's been a month and a half since they have even posted in response to anyone's problems with SD. Yet they still sell it, they just no longer support it. Total d|ck move in my opinion.

Correct me if I'm wrong, because I don't use it much, but isn't backslash "last module"? Which if you watch the video, it could be last module rather than home. It could be home, I just enjoyed agitating those folks. lol

That I agree with. If there is an NDA out there that is so strict they can't even continue development, then they should stop selling. But then........
Think of the speculation that would come from that move. Probably just a serious rock/hardplace situation.
Still , personally, I would rather gamble the future is bright rather than future is dim.

nice! I'm on the stock block, but JWT twin turbos and Haltech EMS. I have my Haltech connected to my CarPC, and have changed the tune at the track when I noticed something wasn't just quite right. Kind of neat, and I love the Haltech!

The only reason your future is bright is because you are standing too close to a nuclear explosion

Well, either that or spending 8 years at Lawrence Livermore National Labs on the AVLIS project. lol
(definition of AVLIS will explain the post)

It would make sense that a lot of the gestures are the same. How many easy to remember gestures can you think of to go to Navigation? Music?
N for Navigation is pretty obvious...

The question is not in the gesture. The question is in how many posts does it take to make a CF user's head explode.
I was messing with them! I have no clue on their gesturing. lol

ok, might as well go off topic while we wait for Chuck to chime in...
Nice - hard to beat JWT twins. I've got the 700bb set up myself. The DashDaq is a serious consideration for me because even though the carPC "could" do it all, it just is not 100% always on, like I need gauges to be on right away, all the time. It can read from the Haltech CAN channel soon and already reads from innovate sensors/gauges.
Are you coming to ZdayZ Caelric - or are you too far away?
