This current arguement started as a defense of meddler (personally, I didn't see a need for a defense as he was doing what he volunteered to do). The defense started out ok, but then turned to "we work for you", followed by "These people", then "we have special hidden rooms", "we are a club", etc. etc. etc.
My point was he was better off without the "help".
As for YOU, Mr.! Most of the time I forget you ARE a moderator.

I know when I build a castle there will be hidden secret rooms in there too. It is just cooler that way.
And I am no supermod like mr. green, I am a mini-mod for my own little chunk of mp3car heaven, not everywhere.

And that was just downright uncalled for! Yeah, well, your mother dresses you funny.
edit: And when are the moderators going to start deleting all these off topic moderator discussion posts?

I think this is our news. Silence..........
This section has turned into the joke section. Might as well move it to off topics becuase that is basically what Streetdeck has turned into.

That's why I didn't know that Aptera story was there. I couldn't get anything but the download, then all of the sudden one day, I could. Now, access denied again.

Slight Misunderstanding
I believe there has been a slight misunderstanding of the post I made yesterday. Part of that is my fault, I was tired and didn't thoroughly proof it before posting, but the intent is still there if you can read between the lines just a little.
Meddler, I am not attacking you. I was merely trying to state the position that you have been visibly left in by the MP3Car.com staff. As a moderator you come in and, well, moderate the forums. However that gives you a presence here acting as a pseudo-representative of MP3Car.com. Yes, I understand you do not work for them. Yes, I recognize that as a moderator (especially a volunteer one) you have no direct affiliation with MP3Car.com other than to moderate their forums according to the forum (and thereby THEIR) rules.
What I was trying to point out is that since you are the only person posting in this forum who has ANY affiliation with MP3Car.com whatsoever, people are looking at you as kind of the easy scapegoat. Where we used to get pretty active commentary in this forum from FiberOptic and God of CPU, now we have gone over two months with nothing except "hey...give us more time", which by the way, sounds like a big F-U to us (especially considering how much time has already passed and how often they come in asking for LARGE amounts of it before giving us any info)
What I find truly troubling though is that we have absolutely NO avenue whatsoever other than these forums to air our grievances. MP3Car.com does not answer the phone. They do not answer any support emails. They do not even have the common courtesy to come in here and give us any indication whatsoever that we have not wasted our money. As such, we have to come here and make your job harder because they refuse to do theirs. Honestly, I don't see how you have the patience for it. We are angry, displeased, upset, and frustrated to the point that it is honestly hard to keep on topic at times.
When I say that someone should be ashamed of themselves, I am not referring to you (or any of the other volunteer forum moderators), I am referring to the unseemly gentlemen who run this site. I am referring to the guys who took peoples money under a good faith agreement to sell, distribute, and SUPPORT a software platform, AND WHO CONTINUE TO DO SO. Even after it has become abundantly clear that they are NOT supporting it. Its abhorrent, and quite frankly it ****es me off.
Sorry about the misunderstanding. My agitation is NOT with any of the moderators. It is with the proprietors.

Well said Xzisted.
Thought I'd throw my 2 cents in....Meddler I'm sorry that some of people are taking their frustration out on you. You've been placed in a bad situation which should never have occurred to begin with and could have quickly been defused by Fiberoptic.
I don't like to make analogies but it's like you’re a police offer assigned to monitor an angry picketing mob. Just like an officer assigned to monitor a mob you do not work for the company (streetdeck in this case) but your seen in a negative light as you seem to represent the companies interest and in some situation administer punishment.
As was mentioned earlier Fiberoptic is still actively posting in the forum he needs to STEP UP AND TAKE SOME RESPONSIBILITY FOR HIS COMPANIES ACTIONS. I'm sure Fiberoptic monitors this thread and not even once has he made even the simplest of apologies. Instead he knowingly remains silent knowingly leaving unfortunate moderators to take the brunt for his lack of action.
I have not been a streetdeck user for several months but the manner in which this entire situation has been handled just DISGUST ME.....

Anybody could come and hang in the "rep club". There were only 2 rules. 1, don't talk about it, and 2, have to read the whole "My Thread"'s. It wasn't a hidden or "elitist" (spelling?) group. Just the average joes that hung out in "My Thread" or DOT. Mainly just a big joke amongst retarded computer geeks.
The "good ole days" was back when mp3car wasn't so commercial and was in it for the fun and love of the hobby. Back when it still used to be fun around here, and not so much a business. I used to spend hours around here, just foolin around. But then strange "business moves" started to happen. Could no longer link to "competitor's" sites, like DC for one. Which was very odd because DC doesn't sell anything. They're just another online community for CarPC enthusiasts. MotorCity was banned for selling similar items of that which mp3car.com sells. He was one of the best go-to guys for LCD questions, backlight upgrades, transflective info, etc. Bah, I dunno, just the ramblings on of an old man.
Hidden forums exist on just about every forum site. It's for the mods and admins. It's nothing bad, it's just a tool for them to use to communicate more efficiently. But just like anything else, it can be used for childish purposes, such as deciding who's going to be a guinea pig for the miserable user "mod". It was even suggested to apply it to all members of what was known as the "my thread mafia". Just childish.
This site has seriously gone downhill. I'll come and hang out here every once in a while to help out the fellow members, but the fun is gone. It's too much a business now, and I don't really blame them. The found a way to make money doing something they love. I think they have forgotten how fun it was though. Pity.
And "these people"... I dunno wtf that is.

Sorry I have to correct you there mate.
There was only one rule for Rep Club and that was you didn't mention Rep Club.
You did not have to read all of the My Thread series to become a member of the Rep Club.
You only had to read the whole My Thread series to post in the My Thread thread.
The Rep Club and the My Thread Mafia were not the same although there were members in both groups.
Now, no more talk of Rep Club.
