Certainly should have been. Last thing heard from mp3car.com was the post from Fiberoptic that started the thread...in that post, he said they would have news in a month. It's now been a few days over a month (post was on 04/25/2008) and no news (and no other communication of any sort either).

Maybe he meant one full calendar month... like rounding up... maybe he's preparing for 06/01/2008.

.....and we all are amazed.... Not.
I still am a big fan of SD. I still hope they come out telling us some really good news. Releasing even better features. Or some that actually works.

I`ve said earlier I was optimistic, but I feel I`m kinda losing it.

If that were the case, I think he'd post again to clarify, given that people are now apparently filing complaints against mp3car.com.

Fiberoptic posted this morning (on some BS thread about nothing in particular).

At this point, it seems like he's avoiding this thread by design. Basically, we got your money, screw off.

I would suggest everybody send him a friendly little PM "reminder" to let him know that once again, MP3CAR has failed to deliver on a promise. For God's sake, how in the world could anybody with even half a brain make a post like the first one, then not follow up.

EDITED

These people are aszholez

We'll, there's a shock - Seems like Fiberoptic isn't accepting any private messages.

I guess that pretty much sums up MP3CAR then - can't leave voice messages, won't reply to email, can't leave PM's, take the money and run.

I like how on streetdeck.com if you try to go to the press&news section it says acess denied.

I have to say, that there is a really good possiblilty that they are working together with a large company and when they come out of the closet they will be huge and sucessful. at least that is my hope. I hate seeing businesses go under.

However, I would figure that that if they are partnering up with a large company they would be excited and not hold this information. normally something like this is good and why would you neglect your customers if you were working on something as cool as partnering/merging or whatever with a larger company.

Almost makes me beleive they are just working with thier lawyers to find everyloophole they can so they can go under and not get sued by everyone for not following through on thier agreement with us. this is the type of news people are typically hush hush about. I would hope that is not the case however.

On several occasions I have asked everyone to keep this thread on topic and with constructive posts. Your posts were neither. It is not a power trip and if you think otherwise then you are wrong. I am trying to keep this thread clear of off topic posts. There are at least another 2 threads where you can write your comments. If you don't like this, then I am sorry, but I have asked on several occasions and people have ignored me. I didn't think my request was that hard to understand.

meddler I am curious are you or any of the other mods in the loop as far as wtf is going on here at all?

sciontC, I agree 100%. To me this has nothing to do with a NDA or a company merge but more of an abandonment or jump ship. When they added CF on the front page it took what 2 weeks to ignore SD customers? It just seems to fishy to me.

This is a publicly accessible forum.
The only information the moderators have is what happens on these forums.
We (the moderators) aren't associated with the business aspects of mp3car.com (the mp3car.com store, StreetDeck, etc.).

We still can't post details yet, but the outcome is generally positive. Realistically it might even be another 30 days before we can give an update of substance.

We waited 6 weeks to hear "generally positive" and 30 days? Lol that is hilarious. FO can you take your customer complaints serious for 1 second. I have been part of and signed NDA (if this is still your reasoning why no updates) much larger then SD I can assure you that. You can still inform us as to if our concerns will be resolved, you can still update us on SD related updates/fixes. We honestly don't care about any buyouts or merges, all we care about is your leaving us out to dry for software we paid for and helped make popular enough to even warrant any consideration for another outside company. And to further insult our intelligence, you tell us 6 weeks ago, 1 week, then you say 1 month, you come on past your most recent deadline to just say another 30 days? Give us a break, we are customers of yours, we are supposed to be on the same side. It takes 3 BBB complaints in a 30day span on a company to cause any issues, just think ahead for a second if that number is 200+ over 1 weekend? You need to sit back and talk it over with the powers to be and come up with something to assure us we aren't being screwed over here because we currently are.

Honestly at this point I don't care if 30 days or 30 years before you can give an update of substance its a moot point for me.

I for one am done with StreetDeck (good riddance to bad rubish) and have been for several months. Be certain I will never make another purchase from mp3car.com as well as do my best to make certain anyone that will listen to me will also do the same.

What bothers me most is not the complete lack of support for over 3 month's, or even the vague dismissive statements that you have released over the past month or so Fiberoptic.

What really other bothers me most is that not in one of your statements Fiberoptic has there been even the slightest hint of being apologitic, which shows the complete lack of respect and empathy you have for your customers.

The above has to be one of the most feable pathetic statements I have ever read. "While you may not be receiving responses to support requests as quickly as you would like" for the love of GOD are you insane there has been NO response from mp3car for any support issue's in over 3 months.

Also in your first statement in this post you asked

Fair enough but perhaps you should try showing some of the same respcect you are requesting to your existing customers.
