Whatever it is that you are working on, I hope it includes finding a new customer base because from the looks of things you no longer have many adoring fans here. Furthermore, the small business excuse is absolute BS. One's ability to maintain a positive customer experience while simultaneously dealing with the challenges of business is paramount regardless of size. If you think otherwise, I strongly suggest quitting now while your still in the black. Im sure if you dont like your customers, someone else will be more than happy to have them.

it fair to say that my business with mp3car is done , with stupid statments and the way you treat your customers like you do , you dont deserve to have a business , "the outcome is generally good " ffs 5 weeks for that 1 line "statment"

here is a shorter one

"FO" it can meant more than Fiber Optic !

Treating me like this just lost you another customer. I might do all my research on stuff in your forum, costing you money in bandwidth. But i will now pay 20-30% higher prices elsewhere just to NOT buy stuff from you because you have treated me like crap. Period. I have just as much respect for you and your company FO as you do for me....none.

Have you guys contacted your local aggencies to try to get your money back? I had bought a Jeep Grand Cheroke and when I was looking at it i heard a strange noise, the dealer said it was nothing and 4 months later the engine exploded from the inside.... The pistons had actually melted and fused to the engine block. When i tried to contact them, i received no response and when i did they told me that i bought it as-is so im stuck with it. I was furious and contacted HELP ME HOWARD which is a lawyer that gives legal advice. They told me to call Miami-Dade Consumer services. From what i understand they can not force a company to reemburse you, but they can mess up the businesses credit, leave really bad reports, and destroy the companies reputation. So basically when people go to research and all that stuff comes up, they loose business. So once i called them, literally 1 hour later the dealership was wanting to make a deal. I had bought a new engine, they reembursed me for that, gave me $1,500 on top of that, dropped any payments I had left on the car, and towed it away.

I am sure that there is a same local agency that can do the same in this matter. People shouldnt have to wait 3 1/2 to 4 months just to find out if the software they purchased is either dead in the water or alive and kicking. Plus even if there are no updates, it is rediculous that they offer no support on their currently avaliable software.... i understand making people wait for an upgrade.... but no help at all???????????

Is that the statement we have been waiting 30 days for? and how would you like us to take that statement? It contains nothing, no information, no respect, and an obvious lack of care for the consumer. At the least you could have mentioned something about when customer support would be returned to normal. I find this to be intolerable

wtf uklhklwjhtjowhnkjvnkushfnbk wtf werhlwjhrklj hwejklrh klweh WTF!!!

I don't even know how to respond to that...what a joke.

"generally positve"---> translation= MP3car & SD gets big bucks, old customers get forgotten like trash, MP3car & SD realize they now have to get a new fan base because the faithful and supportive have left the bar.

Seriously feel like I am watching a friend get drunk at a bar and won't stop drinking...

Later SD & MP3car, last money I will ever spend here. POC.

Depending if the SD/MP3car teams decides to actually read the replies and make a legitimate statement, I plan on creating a BBB complaint against the company next weekend. Once a complaint is filed there is a link to add customers to the complaint, I will provide the link if it has to get that far. I have had enough with this company, I know many people don't take the time to reply but they are in the same boat so hopefully they just sit back read the replies and realize how bad they are screwing it's customer base that in the long run only hurts them. To say we have been treated unfairly is the understatement of 2008.

The only information the moderators have is what happens on these forums.
We (the moderators) aren't associated with the business aspects of mp3car.com (the mp3car.com store, StreetDeck, etc.).

As DP said, the mods are not involved with the running of mp3car.com the business. I have volunteered to be a mod on the forum. All I see is what is on the forums. I have absolutely no idea what is going on with SD.

Odd, I know you guys aren't paid and aren't employee's but if the mods of the forums aren't informed it's safe to say us members who are customers are SOL. Everywhere you turn it's bad news, problem is it's only bad news to the idiots like myself who actually paid mp3car/sd. Make my words, they will regret this, especially since there was no point behind it and it could have been avoided. We all told them so.

Give us one month, by then we should have something clear to report.

I figure by around June 30th we can expect a statement similar to the following.

Look I am sure once mp3car has there problems straightened out everyone will be happy as a flie in s#!T with what they get. But until then if you are not happy, abandon streetdeck. What other action could work better, Road Runner is much more powerfull and free and works. There's an old saying "If you paid too much for something, you paid too much". And if you like to pay a lot of money for software get centrafuse, it will be around for a long time and works great also.

If you have not reported this to the Better Business Bureau or disputed the charges with your credit card, now is the time. I have done both.

Still waiting on CC investigation, but with the reputation SD has for picking up the phone, i have a feeling i will get my $ back very soon.

Also, thanks SD for letting me "rent" your software for free these past 2 years. I hope you go to hell.

Not sure they care about BBB complaints, as they already have an "Unsatisfactory" rating: http://greatermd.bbb.org/WWWRoot/Rep...&firm=90086550

Like I said before, I would think that the AG route may yield better results, as they investigate and prosecute consumer fraud, amongst other things.

Such a very sad situation.

Good luck to all, SD owners, as well as mp3car and StreetDeck.

what company name did you use? there is only one complaint for mp3car and that was a few years ago. BBB does not have streetdeck in its file, you have to add it.

Just curious

With people saying they want their money back after two years and people being angry because the product worked like the demo, I just have to ask... Are you all mental? I think it would be great if StreetDeck releases some big mod that is going to change all of our lives, but they are under no obligation to do so. Also, by offering the free demo, you had a chance to see what StreetDeck was / was not capable of. It wasn't like they planted a time-bomb virus in your software that went off after you took it off the showroom floor.

Do you honestly think your $200 entitled you to own a programmer for the rest of his life? I am a programmer myself, and many of my clients think this way, but I think it's a load of $h!%. How much are you worth? Sure, StreetDeck has a pretty good following, but this isn't freakin Microsoft.

I personally am not hoping to see them get bought out, because the big companies from my experience tend to salvage pieces of the product, then tear the rest down. So in this case, you might end up with a hand held interface that plays some music and shows some pictures (like the eight million other devices that do this), but say goodbye to StreetDeck as you know it.

Seriously, do you buy things with the expectation that for your money they will get better? I hope that as many of you all do, but I don't EXPECT that. I purchased SD for it's current abilities.

I think next time I go out to buy a car, I'll buy a Geo Metro and hope that the dealership transforms it into a Lambo... Good luck to me with that, and good luck to all of you with that type of thinking )

Hey our biggest complaint is the lack of support, promises that have not been accomplished and also the poor customer service that we get as customers.

sure we would pay for additional features in another version that was not addevertised when we purchased the software.
