why update a car meet with whats going on behind the doors at SD and not the existing community. If development was in progress and full force who in their right mind would allow this anarchy to happen with the community base and not stop to think that it all means crap when at the end of the day the people you are going to sell it to have no faith in the company. I personally don't understand some businesses, for example any on line company that has no phone contact information provided and only wants to deal with a customer by email, doesn't get a penny of my business, I don't care how cheap they are compared to the competitor.
Even the website has started to make it look like a **** poor company with no future. They haven't even taken the time to update the copyright. 2006? Are you ****ten me?

Same "professionals" that use personal information to try and "win" arguements on a silly BBS (forum). No one in their PROFESSIONAL mind would do that. Somebody that just wants to show off their new toys would.
Now what is funny is if there IS an NDA in place. Breaking it in public is ever bit a breach as it is here. Meaning watch our posts.......if they disappear pretty soon, you have your answer.

what makes no sense is the useless bantering you continue to do. Where is it specified that they must update the forums with meaningless updates to prove that streetdeck is ACTIVELY supported? What i said makes plenty sense to anyone who's doesnt already have preconceived idea to the actual situation. The situation as i see it is they are (here's that word again) ACTIVELY supporting streetdeck from a programmers standpoint. They are NOT supporting the product from a consumers standpoint. Its really quite clear to understand if your objective about it

See... it makes plenty sense to him too. the whole situation is F****** up but it is what it is so see it objectively

maybe (just maybe) because this community is no longer SD's consumer base? Who really knows. All i do know is that streetdeck... in some form or another aint going anywhere. The owner of a company doesnt show up promoting a "factory-replacement" hardware/software package for no reason. Again, its common sense.

A theory is something someone that HASN'T seen what is going on would put out there.
In like 4 posts, you have said more than anyone at mp3car has in months.....from first hand knowledge (that quite frankly, if there is an NDA, you shouldn't have).

Common sense is when someone says a community of a product is no longer SD's consumer base in terms of growing larger than the community. That's makes all the sense in the world. I would think larger avenues would be taken to promote to continued development of the product. Such things as different trade shows, electronic/car.
What doesn't make sense is when someone like yourself is to make a comment that the product is ACTIVELY being support in a (development) standpoint and you now this from going to a petty little car meet in a localized area. I'm sure a company with a worldwide customer base, uses a petty regional car meet to promote their product. I guess your right,
It would make all the sense in the world (I mean your regional car meet world) that this product is ACTIVELY BEING SUPPORTED HUH?) Let's get real, Hey maybe I'll be able to pick up SD 2.0 on release at my local flea market.

not really.. the knowledge is out there. Rob is the one that said he'd bring some what he brought. Taken from the meet thread:

(btw i never got my swag! lol)
Lets be real... if there was some sort of NDA he never would have showed (he's never been to any other meet from that thread)... never would have brought armine's car with the product "temp" installed... or woulda showed to the meet rockin' centrafuse which he mentioned he also had installed on the "product". I was one of like 15 guys at this meet so i'm only giving my thoughts based upon what i saw/heard.

lol see.. this is banter.. and like daniel said previously.. semantics. Who CARES how large a venue he decided to use? What difference does that make? I didnt say he was came to the meet with the WORLD PREMIERE of streetdeck 2.0. Perhaps he was just gauging real-world interest on a saturday in which he had free time on his hands. All i know is that he.. the bad guy.. the owner of the most corrupt organization since enron... showed up to a little po'dunk car meet with a new unreleased hardware item showing streetdeck.. 1.0.. 2.0... it doesnt matter which version. The fact that he chose to display it in "top secret" billing shows that the development, support, and promotion is still active. If ya dont understand that then you wont.

Just curious...does the T&C for Streetdeck have something in it about support terms? I haven't read it...

Well I guess you let the cat outta the bag. Becuase while he is showing 15 guys his "top secret" copy of SD, his whole customer base is jumping ship. But it is you 15 guys that will keep the company together because you 15 guys are the only ones that know that development is ongoing. The whole rest of the world has no ******* clue what is going on. I'm sure every person in europe that runs SD not to mention here in the US can sleep better at night know that gave us insight that your knowledge of the SD future was from a VA/MD car meet that 15 guys attended. Thanks,
In my opinion, just becuase you saw a copy of SD with some more features that what is currently offered doesn't mean it is continued developement. We have seen many youtube videos of apps built in SD that aren't released. All that means is that Rob has a developers copy or a "top secret" non released copy of SD that may never hit the market. For the sake of the product especially since I bought the damn thing, I hope your right, but to make statements like that with evidence from some backyard bbq cannot be deemed valid. I'm sorry, but has to be beyond all resonable doubt.
