I'm not sure what this means.
Streetdeck is supposed to include voice support (which has never worked very well). Now, a third party company is selling a voice support module that seems to be in coordination with, but seperate from Streetdeck.
In a way, its good that at least somebody is doing some development work related to streetdeck. But I can't see how they could charge existing customers for a product that provides features that the base product is supposed to provide - unless maybe they're going to give existing customers the voice module for free, and then just ask that we provide bug reports.
I can just see it now - Streetdeck $199. Voice Support for streetdeck (that actually works) $29.99. Bluetooth support for Streetdeck (that was supposed to be in the original product) $99.99 (includes dongle). Traffic module $49.99...

my voice input in SD works close to flawlessly. perhaps your mic is the issue?
I'm looking forward to onevoice as it will allow the 'play artist' etc. which isn't included right now.
Fact is, I navigate the SD interface via voice 85% of the time and it works great.

Same here. What I am wondering is what else will be enhanced voice. The artist, genre, what song is this is great, but I have also read things on dialing, what about navigation? Could be a lot more than just music.

meth68: I use a andrea superbeam by itself, mounted on my sunvisor. The Kino onboard audio has noise/echo cancelation. I don't ever drive with my windows down, but awhile back I had bad tires that were really noisy and it worked ok. I think in order for it to work best, I would need to train the microphone in a noisy environment (so the noise cancelation is working).
Edit: I see where Say2Play was released, but not Streetdeck.

Doesn't work for me. I wonder if that is why it's gone. Speech doesn't work at all when installed. Uninstalled and speech works fine. I think the license issue (says it requires one) might be a problem. I'm sure they are following this forum, so I wish they would make their presence known and discuss it here.
You might hold off on uploading.
Also, if you click on license activation, it says you are trying to activate say2play.
Ah......I think you have to install say2play and THEN sd beta. Trying that now.....will get back to you. (that would be why you can't get sd until you download s2p.
