OneVoice Plugin Beta on Streetdeck

This is using an Andrea USBD-2A/Soundbeam mic and usb adapter with "Voice Enhancements" selected in the noise reduction section of audiocommander (andrea software). I wanted to give the video it's own thread in case people missed it. The car is running and the A/C is blasting. I couldn't video while moving, so this was the best simulation of noise I could get.

Thats really not bad. I have full exhaust so it might be quite troublesome in my car. How is loading time for SD with the plug in. I had to uninstall untill next build, becuase mine would simply lock up for no apparent reason.

Maybe 10 seconds longer? Something like that.

Just make sure you train with the car running.

Hey Dan, I got that mic and usb external sound card in today. I hooked it up to my laptop to mess with so i can get the hang of it prior to putting it in my car. Now my question is do I need OneVoice installed? I have been trying it with SD and getting mixed results, it won't recognize any of the albums, artists or songs. I say Genre's and it works, I say Hip Hop and it tries to go to my "Home" within navigation.

Ok, this sounds whacked, but try it. First go into control panel and sounds/audio whatever. Make sure you have your regular soundcard out, and the Andrea in. Then go out of that, go into speech. Go to Audio Input and make sure it is right there. Then go to configure microphone and go through it's song and dance.

Now hopefully you have loaded the audiocommander software. Open it up and run it's wizard. Now you are ready to try it with streetdeck without the onevoice. Get that working good, maybe go to setup input and train the microphone through 1 or 2 microsoft speech sessions.

Once you have that working (It should be 100% after all the training you just did. lol), now you are ready to load the onevoice. Once streetdeck starts with onevoice loaded, you need to toggle full screen, then right click on the onevoice audio in the taskbar. Select audio wizard and train that one. After that, you should be golden! Also on the audio commander software. I have gotten the best and most consistant results by selecting voice enhancements under the noise reduction (it's up at the top of the audiocammander right next to the wizard).

you should have gotten the mic with usb adapter instead of the external usb soundcard one.

oh! You got that new one! Cool! Still follow the instructions above, but use whatever software they sent you. You got the small usb dongle, right? I'm really excited to see how that works!

That's the previous version. Same one I have. The one I suggested is new and is just a usb dongle. It's supposed to be better! Waiting to hear if it is or not.

I use an sound blaster external sound card anyways, which is a lot better then on board audio. so there is no need for the newer usb mic.

I just ordered the one for $49.95. hope it works alright.
Danielkh, where did you place your mic in your ride? Also, my carpc is very slow compared to yours. I looked at your spec and really surprised that you are running all of that with just m2atx. i didnt think that had enough power for all of that

160W are plenty enough for a Pentium M or a mobile C2D !
My system (MB + CPU + RAM + TFT + Touch + HDD + peripherals (without amp)) - so everything - needs about 42W when playing music. And Danielkh's should be about the same :-)

So also the M1 would be enough :-)
