Also was quite laggy I thought for a 1.8 CPU and 512 RAM I ran it on
If its choppy, particularly on that hardware, you probably set the frame rate too high, see this thread:
http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/streetdeck-f-q/69005-performance-tuning.html
I havent heard of any basic sound quality issues with WMP before, the only software that should determine the quality of your audio output should be the audio codec used to decode it or any post processing done on it. StreetDeck implements its own equalizer so WMP is more or less just used for DRM and more robust album art support.

Yes this software does run great, very stable and the lag is def. due to the framerate issue. After tweaking it a bit, I got better results. As far as the Windows Media Player libraries I can tune them but they dont even sound close to winamp. Dont get me wrong there is nothing wrong with the sound, it works fine, but side by side testing i've gotten much better results with winamp. After hearing R.R./winamp and going back to WMP powered frontend it almost sounds like WMP is in mono; very flat. Some people may not even notice the difference but im an audiophile and Ive spend as much time tweaking my amps and audio output as i have building the PC. These are things I listen for.
But overall, man this is a nice frontend, I would love to test it out with all the bells and whistles, navagation, etc. This front end has by far the most thought behind it. Great product keep up the good work and ill buy the final when its released!

god of cpu: for users outside the US/mappoint areas it is useless...
UNLESS.... with the IDE I am able to create a "embedd" program screen... is it at all possible to use freedrive along with streetdeck through an IDE "plugin"?

When will this be determined?

OK, still waiting for an answer on my previous question...
some more:
- I am getting some crashing at some times... one time I even got an error report window, which I reported... did you recieve it?
- When I try to open the Dev tool, I get a windowed StreetDeck, and then the development tool underneath it, so I can only see the dev tool window in some areas, because SD window covers it... How can I start it in the correct way?
- I like the media areas (basically the only thing I can get to work), 'twould be amazing if one could change the mappoint stuff for destinator (which is the ONLY international gps solution)...
cheers

The crash reports are sent anonymously, I don't know what is from whom.
When in developer mode, you can resize the main window by grabbing the lower right hand corner or move it by grabbing the top of the window.
The only supported navigation will be the one that comes bundled with StreetDeck. We need to do this to standardize the platform and be able to expose the functionality in the SDK, Destinator is not an option, but international support is planned.

Oh ok... I misunderstand your development openning then....
I put my email on the error report, thats why...
anyways, I guess I'm moving on until you revisit the "no international support" area... cheers
