Smile Download StreetDeck Trial Version!

You asked for it and now you have it! StreetDeck Developer Edition is now available for download. The developer edition software gives you unrestricted access to the StreetDeck development enviornment that allows you to create skins and DigitalMods™(plugins/ scripts) as well as a time limited runtime license that lets you use StreetDeck for a limited time evaluation in your car.

The StreetDeck development environment is still under active development. The runtime features of StreetDeck are complete; however, we are inviting feedback now on what additional features are needed for you to write your best DigitalMods ™.

The runtime license included with the Developer Edition will expire in 30 days after installing it and only run for 15 minutes at a time. In May, you will be able to preorder a complete developer edition kit at MP3Car.com.

You can download StreetDeck from the StreetDeck website here:

What error did you get? Did you download the entire file, it should be just under 23 mbs.

Yes, its much less then the retail cost of only a GPS reciever + Mappoint 2004, but technically we are not including mappoint, just the data.

Any clue if the data for Mappoint 2006 is the same as the data for Streets & Trips 2006?

Also, will current Streetdeck bundle owners get the updated maps for free? If so, how will we acquire them?

The mappoint 06 data is newer then the S&T 2006 data. There will probably be an upgrade available for StreetDeck bundles. There will be a cost associated with it, but it has not been determined yet.

Yes, it will be released with and without the GPS reciever. Other then that, there are currently no plans for other configurations. Pricing for non-GPS, but with nav data, has not been determined.

I installed it, I'm very very impressed with how smooth it is. Really great product you have here.

Edit: It was great until it was extremely chopping when I added my playlist of music. I was running it on a P3 900Mhz, nVidia GeForceMX. I'd like to try it out on my CarPC which is a P4 1.8Ghz, but I don't like installing things I have to remove later on.... *hint hint* =)

Still damn slick either way, how much will the software cost?

If its choppy, the most likely cause is the frame rate is too high and consuming all your resources rendering. You should leave it at the default of 15 and step it up until you start to take a performance hit.

Expected pricing is at http://www.StreetDeck.com
