Question Loading FLAC tag info into SD Library

Is there any way to get StreetDeck to load Music File tags for FLAC files. It loads all of my mp3 file tags. If I browse by Directory I can see my FLAC files and play them without a problem. I just cannot browse the FLAC files by Artist, Album, etc.

That will enable you to load the FLAC files but SD still doesn't read the tags.

Correct.

To have the tags displayed correctly you have to install a Windows Media Player Tag Extender.

Like the one found at:

http://www.softpointer.com/WMPTagSupport.htm

I first had to get things straight in WMP and then all the tags were displayed in SD.

My only gripe now is that if you have an album with multiple artists it will show up as a different album for each artist. So under albums if you have an album with songs from 10 different artists the same album name will show up 10 times, however all the album's songs will appear under each of the 10 album names.

I hate having to put the artist name and song name under the song title for albums of various artists. This kinda defeats the purpose for searching songs.

Sweet action. That saves me from converting all my files to WMA lossless so I can have tags.

Okay, I have tried the above and I still don't have file tags in SD. It is showing them in WM Player.

I had that issue, as well.
There is a tag in ID3v2 for Album Artist. I had to tag all my "various artists" albums with a different Album Artist (I used "Various Atrists") for this very reason.

I know that Tag & Rename has access to this tag. I'd think any other music file tagger that supports ID3v2 tags would, as well.
