Map data distorted (picture included)

Hey there,

A month or so ago I reported an issue I am experiencing where the map data (Streets/cities etc) is completely distorted and for the most part is unreadible. I have included a picture which accurately displays the unreadible text.

Does it look distorted when its not in 3d Mode?

Does it look distorted when you are shown the full route planning page showing the map of your entire route?

It is distorted in both the birds eye view as well as the top down view - if that answers your question?

As for the preview when you create a route - this screen actually only shows up occasionally. Most of the time, it is blacked out, and i just have to click begin route.

Thanks.

Couple questions....

1 - Do you have DirectX 9.0c (latest release) installed?
2 - Have you attempted to update your video drivers to the latest version.

IMHO, this appears to be something screwy w/ the video or some system related to video.

Yes to both of those...

Everything else works fine...it's just the text in mappoint. All other graphics are perfect.

Is it possible for you to reinstall map point? Try that I bet a file got corrupted. With car computers thats a very easy thing to do if its not installed correct and even then data loss can happen.

Uninstalling and reinstalling StreetDeck would do this.

I can't really tell from the picture, but it seems like just the text is off.

Are you running an international version of windows XP or otherwise have any special fonts or other text related stuff installed?

Also try changing the text size in navigation settings and seeing if it looks any better. Also if you could take a better screen shot, not just a picture it could give me a better idea of whats wrong.
