Infill T3 with Streetdeck wiring

I have two wires that I have not connected yet on my Infill T3, and I'm wondering if StreetDeck cares.

Both are from the wiring harness.

White, labeled "back" - is this to indicate that I've shifted into reverse, and if connected will StreetDeck use this indication to switch on the backup camera? My backup camera is connected and works when I select it from StreetDeck.

Green, labeled "handbrake" - StreetDeck appears to me to be working with full functions. Does connecting the handbrake wire get me anything?

Thanks, I searched but couldn't find the answer.

Terry

Yes, using reverse should switch to the primary backup camera.

If you don't connect the the handbrake wire, it will make your install illegal to use while driving in the states. You will not be informed when you try to use any feature that was not designed to be used while driving.

Thanks for the quick response Chuck! I'll hook them both up next time I open it up.

No, it means it works differently on the Infill. The infill uses a parking brake sensor, if you don't have an Infill, streetdeck uses your GPS speed.

is there anyway to use a relay board like a phidget to enable this feature on a non infill? the parking break sensor that is? I'd like to use this to enable the backup camera on reverse as well.
