StreetDeck 1.0.5.7 BETA release

This update will update version 1.0.4.1 or greater.

One of the only new features added to this release was UI audio. Since updating won't set options for you, you will have to activate this by showing the volume overlay, clicking the vol button, then checking the 3 different audio event types you would like to hear and setting your GUI volume level.

This is a BETA release. Some of the new features will be unstable. You can use the built in restore functions to restore to your previous version if you have problems.

A stable release will be posted within 2 weeks. If you encounter a problem with this release, please send your log along with a description of your problem to chuck@mp3car.com. Logs can contain sensitive information like file locations and user names, it is not recommended that you post them to the forum.

Fixed problem with restore in updater that wouldn't restore read-only files properly
Added . and - to back to the latitude and longitude search module
Reset demo timeout
Fixed problem of not running at all on some machines

Chuck, this now runs on my Vista laptop and I can't wait to try it on my Infill. Thank you! It would have been easy to say "We don't support Vista yet" but I appreciate that you made it work!

Now you'll just have me asking when the Europe release is planned...You can please some of the people some of the time...

Did you run into any problems running it on Vista RC2? I would love to merge onto it, but still thinking that some things might not be compatible. Does DX10 work with SD?

It seems that de equalizer is not working anymore....
And it doesn't add all the albums on reindexing....

Aargh, just when I thought I was home clear.

1.0.5.7 has just announced that the demo has expired. I see the previous cure was to use 1.0.5.6 but that wouldn't run for me!

Chuck,

Another question you've tried windows vista obviously since it works with it. Does it resume from hibernate faster is it worth running or upgrading to even if it shaves a second or two off?

The "Add play all folders command to music directory browsing" feature however is not quite the resolution I think we are looking for. It is better but still a little aggravating.

Now when you are browsing to different artist it automatically plays a song in that "folder" for that artist instead of continuing to play the current song that is being played.

That totally should be a option not a fix. Sometimes you might want to have it play that way and sometimes you don't etheir a option in settings or find a way to do it right there. QUE or PLAY NOW something like that but you have a good point there.

I save most of my dvds in the harddrive, It would be nice if streetdeck to have an option to play "dvd files from local drive" like some other dvd software have.

Just formatted my comp. Installed SD and updated it to 1.0.5.7. Now it says demo has expired?! Any ideas?

Me too... I have never had any luck with the demo.

I am using Vista and I cant get the Developer tool to work either

I noticed the SD trial expires after most windows updates.
