I am willing to pay for Virtual Earth 3D MOD if it is implemented into streetdeck.

These are real time rendered 3D cities, don't expect an epia to handle that.
I can't imagine many folks with CarPCs that could handle this. As such, I wouldn't expect it to be high on the list of priorities for these guys to work on. Not saying it would never happen, saying it's just not high on the list.
Maybe once faster processors that require less power and generate less hear become more readily avaliable....

I knew someone would bring that up.
they aren't cheap, not by any means, which also means they aren't readily avaliable.
I'm not talking about one processor...I'm talking about more than one processor... and don't give me that it's more than one because it's a dual core stuff....

Compared to a all-in-one VIA no, but if you are looking at a Pentium M or a mobile Core 2 Duo the price difference is about $50 for the CPU and motherboard. They are also very readily available.

One core of a core duo processor can be used to handle the 3D stuff (or both cores it doesn't matter ), but will not do hardware accelerated graphics, it's still a cpu rendering graphics wich means crappy performance.
One thing is sure, we need 3d acceleration in our carputers, I´m working on a 3D front end, would be nice to be able to use shaders and all the stuff, can you imagine a glass looking skin?
