Question about serial plugins

Hi, I've recently aquired Mithjs's serial dongle for using a Sony RMX4s joystick commander. This works like a charm with Girder, but as SD appears to have a form of Girder built in it would be nice to not have 2 programs doing the same job.

It's a serial dongle, with a .lua plugin, I've dropped this into the plugins directory (along with mym USB-UIRT plugin which does work in SD) but I can't select it as an input.

So I guess my questions are:

Have I done this correctly?
Does SD support serial plugins like this?
Can I get this to work without adding Girder to the install?

Cheers

It shoudl work, if it doesn't run with -verbose and check the log it should give you some clue as to why the plugin failed to load. Most of the time its because there is some dependancy that not in the plugins directory.

Thanks Chuck, have had a look (in the dev environment as the main has ceased to work for me!) and the log doesn't list the plugin at all.

Have sent the log to you via e-mail.

Cheers
