map data updates

Some of the recently built freeways here in AZ do not show up on my Streetdeck navigation map.

How do we go about updating mappoint with the latest data?

Thanks for the update.

Are map updates included with the Streetdeck updates? If not how do I go about updating the software as well as find out when new updates are available?

Map updates are not include with program updates. You can subscribe to the download streetdeck updates thread to be notified when new program updates come out.

So how do I get map updates when they are available and how can I find out when new updates are available for the maps?

Mappoint can't be updated with new data.
New data is available with a new release of Mappoint (current 2006)

the readme file that is in my mappoint states that i currently have 2006.

So does this mean that new map data is only available with the next release of Mappoint?

If this is the case, do I need to purchase the new version of Mappoint when it comes out, or is it included with the updates for Streetdeck?

Construction data can be downloaded for Mappoint... Go to microsoft.com and go get it. I have Mappoint 2004 (w/ S&T 2006 maps) and the latest construction updates from:

that's construction updates, I don't believe that includes new roads, but rather construction that is going on...

What's the difference between new roads and construction? You think after the construction is finished - they delete the data? lol j/k

My only validation for this has been that a new loop for a reworked highway interchange shows up correctly for me following the update (all the exits are the same but some are as much as 1/2 mile earlier and the maps show the road split earlier etc).

thanks for the link. Unfortunately that did not add the new section of freeway.

Google maps is the only online service that actually shows the new section of freeway. Yahoo maps does not have it.

Hopefully the next update will include these new sections.

Is there a way to have Streetdeck download the construction data on its own?
