Questions I've not found answers too.

I've been looking through the SD post but have not found answers to any of the following.

1) Has any work been done on allowing SD to connect to a CAN bus?

2) Can external events cause SD to switch screens, i.e., trouble monitoring.

3) Can more than one camera be displayed at a time in smaller windows in any main window.

4) Is there anyway to force SD to operate in 16X9 mode while in developer mode on a non-16x9 display?

1. No, this is something that can be done through addins.

2. Yes, events not generated by the user can cause modules to switch. The SDK can be used to tie any hardware to control streetdeck however is desired.

3. No, the camera can only be displayed fullscreen and only 1 at a time.

4. No, developer mode can not be operated in a 16x9 resolution.

1) I guess I'll have to look at this.

2) Great!

3) Darn, any chance an addin could display on it's own video?

4) When in development mode the SD main screen takes up a lot of space even on my 1,600x1,200 display. If one could set the size to match that of the target system, as you can in GDI mode, it would make development just that much easier, much more WYSIWYG. Might be something to look at.

Just another quick question. I'm playing with SD on an old 1GHz system. Not the best video card in the world. It seems that SD repaints the screen alot even when nothing seems to be changing. Any ideas why?

Thats just how direct3d works. It constantly updates the entire screen at a set framerate regardless of what changes. You can change the maximum framerate it will be set to in display settings.
