Check box for subscribing to a thread when replying?

I don't always want to subscribe to every thread I reply on.

By default, when replying to a post, the check box is checked identifying the thread to be added to your subscription list.

So go into UserCP and turn that option off.

By default, I like having it on. A quick checkbox at the quick reply box w/ the option to sub or not would save steps of posting, reloading and unsub'ing...

I mean, there's a check box for your sig...why not sub'ing?

Not initially available after using quick reply. Have to reload post to get the option.

Talk to the developers of vBulletin, the devs of the forum software.
We can't implement functionality that isn't there.

Knowing someone who can code the change is only half the battle.
Gaining access to the code is the other half.
We don't have the keys to that kingdom.

So Jan is no longer an admin, just a near mortal moderator, or not even that now?

Nope - no admin any more, just a mod.

In order to make any of these changes, you have to be an admin who is willing to spend the time to research a solution.

As a general rule, it's not a good idea to make random mods and have no way to guarantee support a year down the road, unlike mods that are posted to the vBulletin.org site....even if that developer drops off the face of the planet, you can still get community support.
