I couldn't find any where else to post this, but could I please have my username changed to dummptyhummpty? Thank you!
Sorry if this is in the wrong spot.

Creating a new account is pretty much the only way to do it

no - it's not....an admin can change your name....
creating another account is actually against the rules of the forum.
by having an admin change your name, then all of your posts then take the name as well.
It's the best, and correct way of doing it.

Yeah,
my username used to be rafaelsherman before an admin changed it to Rafster for me back in '04..... I think it was Frodo...
Best way to get this to an Admin is to PM them...
Rafster

When someone has their username changed, can they have a custom title of
FKA <and then their previous username>
Just so we know who they were before.

Yes that is possible, if a user requests it.
Also - us Contact US link/email address for changes such as these. This way it will take just a day or so for the change to happen.

I think it should be done as a matter of course, so that if someone has been dealing with a member over something, and they suddenly disappear by changing their name, it can still be seen.

Okay, done, I just did it for someone.
I guess so long as for 3-6 months they have their old name in their title, this should work, right?
