Problems with recent changes to board

Hi there,

The recent changes to the BBS software have made it more difficult to use for me. I use the 'New Posts' button to read the board, and it used to show how many pages of posts there were in each thread. If I knew the thread, I only had to click the last page # listed and it would take me straight there. With the current software, I can only enter the thread, THEN scroll to the end.

Second thing, y'all seem to have enabled some sort of threadding support that makes it very difficult to follow new posts in conversations. It used to put the new messages at the end of each thread, now they seem to be hidden partway inside each message. I really liked it the old way because I didn't have to re-read the entire thread to find the new messages people had posted.

The question becomes: "Just because you CAN do something, does that mean you SHOULD?"

As far as I know, we haven't changed anything.

Really? Maybe something in my settings changed, then. At the top of every post, I now see a tree view showing all the messages with a hiearchy in a seperate table with a javascript scroll, plus I don't have a clickable page # in the 'Search' view.

Nobody else has this? How odd!

When I view a message, this is what I see now (notice the tree view at the top):

Had to give the kids a bath. I checked my options, according to it, I'm already in Linear - Oldest messages first. I still see that damned tree control at the top of each message I read and still can't click straight to page 2 or 3 of a thread from the Search screen.

Weird, now that tree thing disapeared and I see the page #s again. I guess it was PEBCAK. Strange that it changed at all, though. I'm really the only person this happened to? odd.

It happened to me a while back, I figured it out after a couple days.

But now I am having another problem, with Firefox, when I try to access the MP3car.com site, 9 times out of 10 it loads to a blank screen with some error writing at the top. Unfortunately I cant get it to error now, but 5 minutes ago it was bad. Iw ill edit this when I can get it to repeat again.

Yeh, I get that too. I just ignore it and reload the page a few times.
