Classifieds sub forum
The classified section is way too busy !! Threads don't last 24hrs before being pushed out to page 2,3...
The classifieds need to be split into categories
for example
LCDs and parts
Power supplys (inverters, opus, etc...)
Computer hardware (mobo, cpu, ram etc...)
Accesories (GPS, input devices etc...)
Car stereo equipment
just my suggestion

What happens if someone is selling many things? For instance an LCD and an PSU? Should they post separate threads?
I doubt that this will fly.

why not create two threads?
many forums have their classifieds split into categories, for example
a car forum's for sale section
cars
car parts
electronics
misc.
if someone has a car and some rims for sale, it would be alot easier for someone looking to find either one specificly

I think it is better to keep down the number of threads and subforums.

rev2, why are you so negative and defensive?
The guys who spoke above have made lots of valid points.
And yes, if you're selling more than one item, might as well sell it separately (think eBay).
I suggest the following:
Classifieds (Forum): Will only have stickied rules w/o permission to post.
----LCDs and parts (Subforum): Normal threads regarding the topic.
----Power supplys (Subforum; inverters, opus, etc...): Normal threads regarding the topic.
----Computer hardware (Subforum; mobo, cpu, ram etc...): Normal threads regarding the topic.
----Accesories (Subforum; GPS, input devices etc...): Normal threads regarding the topic.
----Car stereo equipment (Subforum): Normal threads regarding the topic.
----Misc stuff (Subforum; cars, services, rims, etc.): Normal threads regarding the topic.
All of the WTB requests should go their appropriate subforums.
Oh yeah, and the search button, even if used as advanced search, is still rather useless. Too much junk from the past comes to the top.

I never go into one specific forum except the FAQ Emporium anyway.
I'm either browsing new posts or searching a subforum for a specific bit of info.
So subdividing the Classified forum wouldn't make any difference to me whatsoever.
In all reality, I see the point of breaking it up, but not the usefulness. There's lots of users that sell all kinds of stuff. It would be a pain in the *** to have to make individual posts for each different category of item you needed to sell. I can see the subdivisions rendered pointless in rather shrot order because someone either doesn't pay attention to the subdivisions or simply ignores them.

ok to make everyone happy, make the subforums like suggested. Then make a subforum for combo selling, in this forum, if a user wants to see mutiple items in one thread they can do so.

Wouldn't that dilute the value of subdividing the forum? One the one hand, you'd have stuff nicely and neatly organized. On the other, on sub-forum would have everything in it. If you were looking for LCD's, you wouldn't just be able to be sure that looking in the LCD sub-forum will net you all of the LCD's.
Also, if you have multiple items for sale, you'll see multiple threads with titles like this:
"Bugbyte's Lilliput 7" screen sale!"
"Bugbyte's M1-ATX sale!"
"Bugbyte's BU-303 GPS receiver sale!"
"Bugbyte's Random Gotta Get Rid of this Computer Hardware Sale!"
I'd post them up like that so I got maximum exposure on the new posts page.
