TomTom How To (PocketPC Emulator) - Page 3

Ok sorry to be a pain. Tomtom all working on carpc except for gps. Cant find it. TomTom software has to be set to serial 1 right? then in ppc config i have to map serial 1 to com0 yeah? what about the settings in the ppc (by clicking on settings then system (i think)??

My gps is usb and is connected on pc to com port 3.
Please help this is driving me crazy

Help with shortcut:

I make shortcut copy inside the text but all text i can´t put inside, can you help me somebody?

maximu what i can write inside is:

i had the same issue..
just copy and paste it into command promt.. and run it there..
that line u whould only have to run once.. so a short isnt that important

i´m not sure what you mean my english is not good, but i have start cmd and write it?

Emulator is working but I have problem with TomTom I have 2 version but often make stack(don´t work) witch TomTom version you have?

TomTom is working on my pc, but my GPS don´t want connect to TomTom..i have all setup but it doesn´t work..
setup in emulator (command .....)
setup in TomTom but nothing happend

my gps port is com8

can you write me some your tips?

and 2quastion is how to change resolution to 800x600

directling & Bill - you have to go the settings of the ppc emulator, and set the com port your GPS is using to com0, then in tomtom, tell it to use a wired gps on serial 1. that'll do the trick.

i go to setting and make this:

gps= com8

now I start TomTom and make change preference->show gps status->configure
I have 4 types gps to choose: TomTom Wireless GPS, TomTom Cable GPS, Other Bluetooth GPS, Other Cable NMEA GPS.

I choose last type...other cable nmea gps and than I have 4800 GPS baud rate.
and last setup is serial cable on com1

but don´t work

don't map serial 1 to com8, map serial 0 to com 8. this got me too... for 2 months!

i change it but when i write /u0 com8 it write: Unable to open serial port´com8´LastError

dont' put anything in the commadn line for the serial, but change it using the gui. the serial port config is saved with the state.

I know this area is still a little flakey, but my kit is all out of the car at the mo due to some maintainace so tomtom is on hold for a bit.

man still don´t work... i don´t write /u1 com8 to command. i chane only in emulator and make save state, but when i start again (start shortcut) it make same error...
