Hi all,

Check this out!
It is rather interesting (and pretty).

Offers a lot of potential in terms of in car usage.
Note that it has finger-friendliness in mind as well.

Hopefully it will offer a better solution to in car Bluetooth handsfree than the current Windows offerings too. But we need to find some decent sat nav software on the Linux platform first.

We use ubuntu at work for a bunch of things. I really like it. One thing i noticed is the user interface?

Flash and java are typicly slow on our 1ghz carpc's. I hope this doesn't limit us on what pc can use the mobile ubuntu. I will be watching this thread

If I remember correctly, there is a build available already but it only supports ARM processors.

huh ya hmm mobile as in cell phones? which carPC would have a ARM? there not that great :P for mobile like in cell phone ya sure why not but carPC?

...so, has any one tried this on a 7" CarPC??? This seems like an awesome solution if you can get a decent GPS app.

I had a related idea which turned up this thread in a search. Has any one been able to run Windows Mobile 6.1 on a CarPC platform (with a device emulator or something)? These new touch screen phones come up to 800x480 resolution now with the HTC Touch HD. I would like to demo the music/nav interfaces on my 7" touchscreen. Has this been done?
