It's not changing the Frequency for me.
Doh! Nevermind. I'm an idiot.
I never set the presets in my carPC, unlike my devPC.

I haven't posted in probably a year or more, but I felt I should break my silence to say thanks for all your work on this particular project....
Received my cable, quickly. Well worth it. This HD radio revived my carpc interest.

Same here!
Sometimes I won't drive my car because I could hear my sports talk and hear all the bashing on my beloved dolphins and hurricanes.

My presets are always there no matter what. If I can exit the HD radio, close RR and restart the PC and they are still there. I never really lose them. If you hit the local button, they local playlist appears, which is blank because I didnt enter anything there. Now if I enter something there then switch back to the main list and then back again, they are gone. Now if you stay on the main list, then enter your presets there then toggle back and forth they should still be there.
That is how mine works anyway.

Mitch> Does your plugin keep the radio on when its not on the radio screen?
Or does the Radio turn on when the radio screen loads and off when the screen is changed to something else (eg:AUDIO or VIDEO)?
I ask because I'm interested in tapping into the relay that turns on/off inside the unit (depending on if you press the power button on/off) and using that to control my power antenna.
Cheers

I'd say it turns off (or something off) as I hear it "click" when I leave the radio screen and a series of "clicks" when I return to the radio............

Mine doesn't. It doesn't turn off ("click") until I switch media, like audio. I don't know how it would work with something like sat radio or tv, but the radio is on until I switch to audio.

True, and this would be a more accurate description:
Anytime I switch to media that requires audio output, the hd radio emmits it's "clicks". Any screen that does not require audio output does not shut the HD unit off.
Cheers

Iceman, I didnt write the RoadRunner part GUINO did...
best ask him that...
I wrote the .dll that talks to the tuner (lower level)
i see no reason to turn it off, until the key is out

Understood.
Regardless, I prefer the way it works at the moment (based on users' testimony). [IE: Turns on when in Radio mode, turns off only if another media type is invoked.]
As such, Ive posted this mod for controlling a power antenna:

Mine is working awesome with my ford OEM antenna setup!
I think I have nailed my presets not sticking to my embedded setup. I have the OS and RR running embedded (read only) on solid state media.
This tuner is by far the best am/fm/hd solution out there hands down.
