im using DFX 3.0...but the HDRadio isnt the only problem im having in that skin...for some reason my volume cranks up to 72% on all of my songs that are of the Electronica Genre...its killing my ears...but thats not for this thread...and no... rr.ini is not set to have default volume...
i really dont mind having it set up the way i have now...i have iTunes which is great for daytime driving...and your radio program works great as well...not to mention, i had one speaker that wasnt producing any sound at all, and i thought it was blown...as soon as i went from using winamp and RR to iTunes, it fixed itself and now all my speakers are working...
so it was honestly a blessing in disguise...thanks Mitch...
Edit: yes...i am well aware that it could have been a total coincidence...but im happier with iTunes sound quality over Winamp anyways

Mitch I bought the second one. The one from Cablewholesale. Didn't come with any drivers. What drivers are you using?
Edit: Nevermind, I found the half size cd taped to the inside of th cardboard packaging.
Going to install now and test.

WOW very impressed
Hiya Mitch,
Just wanted to THANK YOU for a wonderfull product, HD Radio for under 100 bucks sweet. Installed your cable and the Visteon tuner this past Friday every thing works great. I was a little worried about reception as my antenna is on my rear winshield, but reception is great.
Took me quite a bit of reading to find out how to change between AM/FM bands (P.S thanks greatwhite) using LSX Void skin. I've also have my factory head unit so I can make direct comparisons between HD and NON HD radio the difference is night and day.
Thanks again peace
P.S
Is the jumper from the RCA gnd to the power grnd necessary I'm not having any issues.

Mitch, got the cable last week, and the radio I got off ewhore came on Tuesday. Got them all installed and your cable and software work great! Thank for the work and support, I can now remove my head unit as this does almsot everything I've needed.
One last question, I have searched but can't find it.
Is there a way that when RR starts, and the radio was on when it shut off or hibernated, that the radio would automatically come back on, just like a head unit?
Thanks again,
Randy

When my Visteon clicks on, I'm getting a sharp quick electrical buzz sound and then all radio audio is echoing. It doesn't matter what station I'm on.
Any ideas?

Dont know if it's the same with yours, but are you trying to run 4 speakers with the radio? I tried, too, with the winamp plugin but gave up because it's impossible to get the rear and front in sinc. 2 speakers sound like crap, but at least no echo.

Yeah I'm running it to 4 speakers. It was working fine for about 3 months and then all of the sudden I get the echo. The quick electrical sound it makes when clicking it on makes me think it could be the ground that Mitch was talking about though.

I just ordered second cable. By any chance any one have both 'Directed' and 'Visteon' tuners? I tested Directed tuner (I using for testing at home) with Visteon controller and I can't get any sound from it. All buttons working. Strange !?!

Have you fixed the echo? I almost have it gone, but it's still there.
