Actually, I run SD mostly, and your interface works fine in the background. However, I wouldn't mind having the ABILITY to run RR. What do I need?

well... it does work in the latest version of RR, just need two lines in the ini file

hdradioport=x
radiomode=8

where x is the comport

and of course a skin that supports HD Radio

why i asked... i have been working on a build of RR, with much improved XM Radio support... and while i was there i did some HD tweaking...

SD looks nice, but i dont know they work on it enough, and as far as i know no built in HD Radio support...

Worked great in RR. Wouldn't mind a little better interface, though. Scan type, intuitive favorites (presets), less buttons/more station information, etc.

Mitch....2 questions...

1. Does your cable work with XM Direct?

Actually, this is an open question to anyone....

2. Is there a way to turn down the volume out of the Visteon HU? I have to turn my line-in2 port down to "1 click" (that's 1 tick mark above mute) in order to make it tolerable. Bet that isn't a question people ask a lot. How to turn something DOWN.

Can't adjust my amps because of mp3 and xm levels. Line-in1 is XM and doesn't have an issue, so it's the HD itself that is too loud. Going to check line-in3, but not expecting anything promising.

The onboard realtek audio for ALC883. Just unmuting the line-in2 with the (Visteon) head unit is too loud.

So what serial cable are these guys talking about using with XM? They say they got it from you.

By the way, really love the HD Radio with your cable. Could kick myself for not installing it a long time ago! I'm one of those that always laughed at the concept of "HD Radio". Not laughing (about that) now. Now I just laugh at how they made AM radio sound like FM.

Visteon HDZ1000? The head unit being the controller that comes with it (that your cable replaces)?

Meaning the only thing the computer is being used for is a "pass through" and the volume is too loud at it's lowest point. I was just wondering if anyone knew of a potentiometer or something inside the Visteon that will allow the user to turn down the gain. Because the signal is too strong to start with, software isn't going to do the trick.
