it would be far above any other product on the market.
I dont get it, in the car pc market screens are the weakpoint. we have excelent cases hardware is no problem, we have no problem with controls, and relays, powersupplies, but then we have these cheap screens that arnt sunlight readable.

Updates?
I was just wondering if there has been any progress on this. Several people have asked and no one has as yet answered.
If there is still someone working on this please hurry as you could make quite a bit of money out of this!

Hi there.
I think it's time to revive the topic. I have an IVA-W502 now.
RGBs connection is not a kind of prob, unlike the touchscreen interface, which may become a real pain.
I'm trying my oscilloscope tomorrow in order to find out what's the proto. If it's simple RS232, we're happy. If not... I will have to develop a microcontroller to convert it either to RS232, or to USB pluggable into the PC.
If we speak of a converter chip, I need a market for this device, else I feel firing cannon on flies.
What do you think, will an Alpine-to-USB interface converter sell?

Hi sillybilly
i think there is a market for this interface, not 1.000 pcs but a lot of people in the german alpine board asking for this kind of interface.
i'am waiting for a long time for this interface, but i'am only a java, php and perl programmer.
if you making steps forward, i can help you in testing.
kind regards
alex
