any updates on this? I just recently started (again) lookign at car pc stuff and it just so happens i already have a 740bt unit. If your in need of testers i would be more then willing

I am super keen about this... as its a great looking screen that can look semi factory (740BT) and i can get here in Australia too... So I am extremely keen to get one of this circuit. This will be the answer for everyone with a double-din slot in their dash (and I am one of them!!!)

Also i be willing to be a Beta tester for Australia too...

First off we want to thank all of you for the support. We are still at the grind stone to get this out. The touchscreen is proving to be a difficult phase to the project. Currently we do not know for sure if the W200 is 800x480, if it is then it should work.

no thank you for your effort in the project. I havent had the chance to read all 7 pages but ive been able to do a few. If i may i have a few questions. Any idea on price? And do you know a bit more detailed on the specs of the bluetooth? It would be awsome if the monitor itself would be able to connect to my 360.2s but if not thats cool.

THe w200 looks very similar to the pice your working on.

How can I fnd out if mine has the resolution you will need?

You should be able to look in the manual under specs. Thats where it says for the 740.

The w200 uses 400x234 resolution. The 740bt is a VGA monitor and the 205, 200, 300, 310 and the rest are all your average everyday TFT active Matrix LCD

yeah, only the 900's & the 901's are high res of all the alpine heads, as far as I know...

The construction and quality of Alpine is far better than the screens mentioned. It is not classified as sunlight readable but we have put these in many cars and had excellent results.
We have some questions that we would like to ask to help in our development path.
How are you planning on using the monitor? ie...stand alone monitor with or w/o using alpine features

Are you planning on using the monitor with all alpines features? Or will your carpc have all features that are wanted? ie... bluetooth/rear video output/ backup cam

If you are wanting to use the bluetooth in the alpine are you going to be happy with the onboard speaker they provide? There are no audio outputs that output the bluetooth audio.

How do you feel about having a modded screen? Would you purchase one or send yours in to be modded?

These are some questions that we need answers to help us figure out the final design of the interface. Thanks for your input.

No bluetooth thru the speakers is a must... i havent really hooked mine up yet so im not sure how loud the speaker would be but bluetooth thru the speakers is the selling feature. I wouldnt really use it much personally thou
