CDR,
Works great with GGE910 Wireless PC Control Pad.

Have you ever thought about using the controller to respond to each sub menu item? For instance, you're on the main menu. The buttons could be used to direct you to sub-menus like GPS or audio. Once in the GPS menu, the controller will focus on just GPS functions. Common controls like volume and exit back to main menu could be used on all menus/sub-menus.

@ iselfdevi,

I'm not sure what your problem could be. I tried my controller and it showed up instantly. I did notice that I have to switch to analog mode to get the controller to actually work the first time. After that, it works in both modes. I wish I knew how to help you out a little more.

It's been less than 3 days since you posted your problem.

It's a free program written by one guy, it is not a commercial app written by a company with a large development team and support team(who from my experience can sometimes take wekks to get back to you, if at all). You can't expect him to be on the forum 24/7 just for you, he has a normal life outside of here just as we all do.

And with that attitude, if it had been one of my apps I would now be of a mind to ignore your problems.

Just stumbled across this by accident. I am having the same problem with this that i have been having with version 1.1

Generic USB gamepad
Works in control panel
Works in games

Start app
select "USB GAME CONTROLLER" from dropdown list
press save settings

says "updated settings.ini"
press ok
reports "device unplugged" and "USB GAME CONTROLLER" disappears form the dropdown box

winXP SP1
cant think of any other useful info!

be patient and wait for an answer. If that isn't good enough for you, go and write your own app

great program. I couldn't imagine my carPC without it. I have the gamepad soldered to my car's audio controls.

I was wondering if it would be possible to add some additional functionality in a future release?

There are only a limited amount of buttons on a car's wheel, so I figured it would be great if a combination of two buttons pressed at the same time could do another function altogether.

In other words:

the way it is now:
if button "1" is pressed, it sends command "X"
and if button "2" is pressed, it sends command "Y"

BUT, I would like to be able to press buttons "1 & 2" and then it would send command "Z"

What I would probably do with this is map it so that if I hold down the "mode" button on my wheel, I could then use the "volume control" on the wheel to select next or previous track instead of volume since my car's wheel controls do not have a "next or prev" button.

Make sense? Is this possible?

Since this is extremely old, I'd say the best way to do this would be through your own software.
Once the key is PRESSED (X), if (Y) is pressed and released, then perform Z. Once the key (X) is released, just perform X.

Programming is not my bag. If I could have made my own software I would love to. I use RR for my front end.
