Thanks for work'n with me on this I've got to have good feedback to get this working, cuz on all the machines I've used it on, it works..
lol
again thanks bro... oh and I should have my new version (new gui and added features) released by morning... for you all to test too. now to just figure out the main part of this whole thing.. lol getting the damn data in...
My question is what is so different between this and PURGPS, which does work?
I did also look at my raw data stream from the GPS - its a mess. About vry third sentence is all zeroes, but the virtual port software tells the ports I have 12 sats locked and discards any bad sentences.
Oh well, goodnight, I'll pick this up again around noon.

Okie doke folks... See the bottom of the first post. Updated the program to use NETComm.OCX vs the MSComm.OCX, so we'll see if that fixes some issues. Also rebuilt the GUI, added more features and functions.
Let me know how this works for you. I does work for me and all the systems I've tried it on...
Enjoy. There will be more to come. Peace... The W3bMa5t3r
/EDIT: This version has the offline save / upload later feature. You can also make backup copies of your current data log.

HEy i tried it with the new ver 1.7 and still no good. I install the new netcom things and it still didn't work. I still get that not receiving GPS... Also if i were to set it to a different com port that doesn't have gps feed. i get "could not communicate with com port# and it wont load the app. So obviously it knows that their is GPS data on the correct port and it loads the app but doesn't log data....

I've used an older one, a HICOM 204E, my new one, the BU-353.. both work. And no, I haven't used a port splitter. I think I'm gonna try one now and see if that's affecting it...

I think I'm getting the same problem as Cheekz185. When I press gps tracking and as soon as the app receives the first coordinates it gives me the "could not communicate with com port#" error, but I can see the first coordinates come in. It does work when I'm using the logging option. And yes xport doesn't work at all.

Ok, I've uploaded 1.8 (Still using the NetComm Wrapper for Mscomm). It seems the sentences coming from the receiver and from Xport vary a bit, so in making it work with Xport... I've crippled the ability to read straight from the receiver. I know most of us are using a splitter anyways, so this might not be a big issue, but I will try to make it compatible to using both. Let me know if this actually does work for you now. I've included the latest Xport3 with the program, along with the NetComm installer.
Cheers... The W3bMa5t3r

WEll I have to say that it does work now with xport3. Im glad about that... But how does the tack to log work? Is it all manual or does it automatically log and then send the data when u get an internet connection. Also the gps connect/disconnect does not work it is just red all the time. But when i first open the APP it flashes green once and thats it!
