Do you have a copy of this in 640x480. My 40 year old eyes like the bigger resolutions on the small screens. If not, I will change size and redo the keyboard mapping. When I get it done, I will make available for anyone else who wants it.

This is really nice work. The little keyboard icon is a great idea. I actually made a keyboard app for my htpc a while ago, although my goal was different- to create a tiny yet readable keyboard. It has some neat stuff like a magnifier to show the keys as the mouse hovers over them, right clicking a key sends the keystroke shifted and a few other little things. You should take a look at it and see if you might want to incorporate a few of those features.
Edit: Also, if anyone's looking for a really tiny osk, check mine out.
Edit, edit:
I'm not trying to hijack this thread which is why I'm editing this post rather than making another one about this.
Updates:
- Keys now only runs one instance at a time and brings the original instance to the foreground when another is executed.
- Arrow keys no longer release shift. MAY YOUR TEXT SELECTING ADVENTURES BE PENGUIN-FREE!
- No international keyboard support. If you do not use an English keyboard, an error message will appear in the form of a keyboard with incorrect characters and missing keys.

Wonderful keyboard. AltTab,CA,RA,DA,Transparency and Magnifier function is great. Will implement some of these function in my keyboard soon.
Here is the some small observations made by me
1) Shift Arrows: shift is released on using the arrow. (Marking a text is not possible)
2) Some of the shifted key produces other char than those shown on the keyboard in non English Keyboard layout .
3) some of the char missing for non-english keyboard
Other than that its a great keyboard.
ThanX for Keys.zip .
Regards
Satish

Wow, this OSK is great. very nice.
You might also want to check out http://www.lakefolks.org/cnt/ if you haven't already for some additional ideas. they have a very flexible keyboard, and you can use a keyboard editor to create new keyboard designs. their OSK wasn't meant for vehicle use, but for people with disabilities, so they have a bit too much of some things and not enough of other things to be the best for in car use.
what i love about yours is:
- the skinnable interface
- the little always on top keyboard image to restore/minimize the keyboard
- the way it works properly with IE (the other OSK I mention doesn't entirely)
what i wish yours had:
- some sort of "pressed" state. so, you press a key and the keyboard flashes or something to tell you you have (and ideally which).
- ability to work at different resolutions (stretch/shrink/etc.)
- the magnifier evil socialist has in his could be useful
- macros (maybe)

virtual keyboard & Navigon navigator?
Great OSK, I like the small icon >> big keyboard concept, unfortunately I have a problem when used with Navigon MobileNavigator (for laptop).
I get the Icon in the top left corner, it switches to the king size keyboard when I click the icon, only problem is that I can't enter city's/streets in Navigon.
As soon as I click the P for Paris, it enters a 'P' in the textfield, and directly thereafter the 'P' disappears.
I noticed that as long as I keep the 'P' pressed, it does not jump to the next text entry field. I see a list of cities starting with a 'P' (but I can't select any, as soon as I release the 'P', the box clears and there is nothing to select from the drop-down box.
Click-N-Type works fine, but that one has to much clutter (window title, menubar)
Any change that virtual keyboard can be modified to work with Navigon??? Maybe with a toggle in the ini file?
If it is not clear what's happening, I can try to record the screen with a digicam, but I don't think the file is small enough to post here...
Regards,
David
