what about post number 4.

I still think it is referring to a main application. If you need directions to your own house you really have some mental problems.

I've been using SA2004 but just realized I also have MapPoint2002 as part of my MSDN subscription. I'll test this out tonight.

The home address is comman seperated.
The home Icon on the front screen is to close the application but is made so that in future when integrated with the some appilcation it can switch to the main application.
The icon with the road in the control panel is to reroute.

Rite now there is no icon for the command take me home. Some one with more UI Skills please help me figure out if this icon needs to be on screen and how we show it on UI. There are about 10-12 more voice commands if they all have to be on screen it might look a over croweded. Most of them are for voice feedback. Like ETA,Current Speed,Distance remaining,Where Am I,Current heading etc.

Logan:
can you send me the kb.ini file and let me the screen resolution u are using ?.

antimatter:
The visual prompts should be done soon.Right now some more comands are being added. Have already PMed coyote and offered to help. Let him find time to test it. Then if he likes it then I can help him integrate in Media car

Let me know if you want me to help with your user interface design. I am really skilled with interfaces and useabilty(mostly in relationship to a website but this is fairly similar)

Thanks for the PM to Coyote and i don't mean to sound pushy, just excited.

We should get a list together of all of the funtions and break them down into different menus instead of creating a button for each one on the screen. This will ad one or two extra clicks/taps but will organize all of the functions into a useable amount of space.

This may be a dumb question...I didn't spend too much time looking at it, but it wouldn't load Mappoint because it was looking for Mappoint Europe. Is it supposed to work with Mappoint North America?

Take a look at the ini File there is an entry for the the map and also the units eg Km/miles. Ini file has all the discription. I know it would be nice to have a GUI to setup the ini file , once the app is stable will do that too.

I will come up with all the commands it supports or will support and then we can groups it . then you could also think what type of interface will be good for use.

Heh?? I had a route setup on the old version which was still there when starting the new version, when I try and get rid of it I get an error box - Dash PC Unspecified error and the Exclamation sound about every second until I end the program in Task manager!

Now I am sure some people are testing it . Cause I did get LaidBack to mail me about the bug I was thinking either the software has no bugs or no one was testing

BTW the bug is solved you can download version 0.0.0.4
