It seems like getting a carputer and using something like Redfly Mobile to emulate it onto the display in the car would work best. I agree that to make that approach truly desireable, I would want to be able to control it using the touch screen. With the Tilt, the only problem I see is that there is not USB Host capability, which is the only way I see to get the touch screen commands back to the phone. Perhaps that is solved with the connection with Redfly, though. I am not familiar with how that really works. Does it use activsync to connect phone to pc? If so, then it seems like it would work.
Yea. I am working on replacing my aftermarket deck with a mobile phone/carpc setup. I want to get the samsung omnia which has tv-out, radio, accelerometer and the regular mobile office suite. I decided to wait for the samsung omnia HD due to be released in August this year. The only thing is I hope one day someone develops features or software that enable control of your mobile phone without depending on MyMobiler-like applications, because you still need a pc for that.
