Roadrunner and iGuidance compoinents for XPe?

I know some of you guys have been playing with XPe, and so have I...

I have been able to run target analyzer on my destination computer, import it into the target designer and compile a working installation of XPe, albeit absolutely useless except for the "shut down" function.

Has anyone figured out how to turn RoadRunner and iGuidance into components for XPe? I played around a little bit with it but quickly got confused like a lost puppy.

I *really* wish that target analyzer would detect third party software
Thanks!

I had everything running at one point except for Generic HID device. So I completely dumped the project. I'm gonna take a look if i still have the project file somewhere.

Hello,
I have posted this link several days ago, but someone in his infinite wisdom has decided to remove my post. Why, I dunno - guess you have those power-crazies everywhere.

Anyway, Check this out

Under How-to Topics on righthand side, 2nd one is about Componentizing Applications.

Enjoy

Thanks.

I am amazed that nobody has come up with an application that you can run, then install an app that you want to componentize and the background app "catches" all the files, registry settings, etc... and turns it into a component.

Yeah, it would really simplify things..

There are tools such as dependancy walker or inctrl5 which track the modules, files, registry edits associated with the installation of application or driver, but I haven't seen anything which automatically creates a component for it.
