XP - Change volume increase/decrease increment

It must be a registry key but i cant find it. Googled it for hours..

To explain a little more, im using the Griffin Powermate as a volume knob (it act the same way as the keyboards hotkey as far as i know), but i would like to decrease the volume increment because it's isnt smooth enought, it must be around 5% step and i would like 1% or less...

*I really need the Powermate to control the windows master volume because controling the player volume would add a annoying latency because of asio @ 170ms...

Help!

if you use the RoadRunner front end there is a way of increasing the increment to pretty much whatever you want cos you can map it to your master volume in your mixer.

Have a look through the Roadrunner forums
http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/road-runner/

cant remember off the top my head how to do it, but theres lost of similar questions if you restrict search to just that forum
