Sorry for my bashing in on an old thread with my first post, but I have a little secret here that might come in handy for you guys...
I've read that you had problems with front-ends on HORM systems. There is a little trick, but you'll have to use NTFS to get it, first download this:
Sysinternals Junction
Junctions are little known in NTFS. They are similar to hardlinks in Linux: It actually is possible to create an "empty directory" with junction and redirect this directory to a totally different directory... even on other disks!
So you could create C:\Frontends on your C: CF card, and once you enter this directory you find yourself on, for example E:\front - however, all windows apps report c:\frontends.
It might be possible to create a junction like above, and then "install" your frontends to this junction. They will actually reside on your E drive.
Depending on the frontends you are using (I have no experience with it at all), if the config files/states are in a directory on its own, you could install, configure, then *move* this directory to your HD drive. Then create a junction towards it.
Hope this helps out guys...
